Journey Beyond ratchets up executive team

Lally and Watson join Australian experiential tourism company

Australian experiential tourism company, Journey Beyond, has named a number of new appointments and promotions as the business readies for growth into 2021.

Chief Commercial Officer for Journey Beyond, Peter Egglestone, said the appointments reflect the evolving business and would help to further grow its potential.

“As we look to 2021 we are investing in these key roles to ensure we’re in a strong position to rebound from COVID, to further develop our offerings, and to increase our connection with the industry.

“We’re looking to work even more closely with our invaluable trade partners to do what we do best – and that’s sharing special places and shaping lasting memories for our guests. Appointments to these key senior roles will help drive this purpose,” Egglestone said.

This year, Alicia Triggs has taken on a broader role as General Manager, Sales overseeing both the national and international teams. With significant sales experience across multiple roles in hospitality and tourism, Triggs will further enhance the Group’s connection and partnerships with trade partners during such an important time for the industry.

Justine Lally will join the expanding Journey Beyond executive team in October

Strategic marketing and brand specialist, Justine Lally will join the Journey Beyond team as General Manager, Marketing and Communications, effective October. With extensive marketing and travel experience in roles with APT and The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Lally will oversee the Group’s brand development, media, communications, digital and graphic design functions.

Fiona Watson has also joined the Group in the role of General Manager, Product and Loyalty. Watson joined Journey Beyond from Rocky Mountaineer where she oversaw Sales for the Asia Pacific region and before that at American Express in several travel marketing roles. She will continue to work with third-party partners with a focus on growing business across the portfolio as well as developing the Group’s first loyalty program.

Nigel Brohier will take up the role of General Manager, Travel Centre and Holidays bringing broad knowledge in travel centre management in the tourism industry. Brohier previously held the role of General Manager Operations at Qantas Holidays and Helloworld.
