First look: Banyan Tree Krabi

72 luxury pool suites and villas overlooking the Andaman Sea

An opening date for the brand-new Banyan Tree Krabi on the west coast of Southern Thailand has been set for late October 2020.

About half an hour’s drive from Ao Nang heading north-west up the coast is the isolated Tubkaek Beach, upon which the resort is set. Powdery white sand gives way to the shallow-shelving waters of the Andaman Sea.

Offering 72 intimate pool suites and villas, all facing westward, Banyan Tree Krabi overlooks the crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea and offers vistas of the surrounding limestone peaks and tropical islands.

Room and Suite categories include:

  • Deluxe Pool Suite (99 square metres)
  • Premium Ocean Pool Suite (99 square metres)
  • Two- Bedroom Ocean Pool Suite (213 square metres)
  • Beachfront Pool Villa (204 square metres)
  • Two-Bedroom Beachfront Pool Villa (387 square metres)
  • President Beachfront Pool Villa (587 square metres).

There are four culinary experiences; The Naga Kitchen, the signature restaurant, Saffron, Kredkaew Bar and Bird’s Nests, offering private tables perched precariously among the trees

This exclusive new destination in Krabi creates a subliminal bridge between a five-star hotel and a pristine, untouched environment, offering both an ultimate experience and an escape to a sanctuary for the senses.

Reservations are now being accepted for arrivals commencing 28 October 2020, according to the resort’s website, with nightly rates priced from THB11,470 (approximately AU$520) for the Deluxe Pool King Suite; THB39,880 (approximately AU$1,795) for the Beachfront Pool Villa; to THB63,200.00 (approximately AU$2,850) for the Two-Bedroom Beachfront Pool Villa.
