This year AmaKristina completed a four-month series of charter cruises on the Rhine, successfully putting in place enhanced health and safety protocols to safeguard guests and crew. Rhine cruises on board AmaKristina helped the luxury river cruise line build invaluable experience sailing with protocols in 2020. Once travel restrictions are lifted, all ships and crews will be ready to offer guests peace of mind during their river cruise experience.

“As Godmother of AmaKristina, I am excited to witness her extraordinary ocean journey down the west coast of France and Portugal and across the Mediterranean Sea to reach the mouth of the Rhône river where she will sail in 2021,” said Kristin Karst, Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of AmaWaterways.

AmaDante will join AmaLyra on the Seine and offer a leisurely itinerary, with more beautiful scenic daytime cruising and many opportunities for biking and hiking plus a fascinating pre- or post-cruise optional stay in St. Malo, Brittany with a visit to Mont St. Michel.”

AmaDante joins her three sister ships in France while AmaKristina will be the first 135-metre ship with signature twin-balcony staterooms to sail on French rivers. Taking over the popular Colors of Provence itinerary, AmaKristina will sail the Rhône between Lyon and Avignon. This will permit AmaCello to travel a new itinerary on the Saône, into the renowned wine-growing area of Burgundy.
