Oklahoma Tourism has introduced a slate of travel agent training programs to showcase the destination and educate frontline sellers.

The virtual road-trip explores Oklahoma’s Route 66 photo-stops, rich heritage of Native American traditions and the region’s natural wonders.

To celebrate the launch of the new Oklahoma training webinar, as well as the launch of the freshly minted Oklahoma Brand USA Discovery Badge, Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation is also giving away gift vouchers – ranging from $20 to $100 (AUD and NZD) – to 28 lucky agents who watch the webinar and complete a short survey afterwards.

The ‘Watch and Win’ incentive runs until 15 December 2020, with agents encouraged to view the 30-minute pre-recorded Oklahoma Tourism Webinar (hosted by Oklahoma’s Australia and New Zealand Account Manager, Michael Cassis) before completing a nine-question survey for their chance to win.

Both the webinar and the survey link, along with the full competition terms and conditions, can be accessed here. There are three $100 AUD or NZD gift vouchers to give away, along with 25 lots of $20 gift vouchers, for agents to treat themselves to some Christmas goodies this festive season.

Oklahoma Tourism’s Travel Development Manager, Todd Stallbaumer, says: “We wanted to show our support for the local Australian and New Zealand travel industry, particularly our front-line agents and trade partners, who have shown such resilience during the most challenging year in our industry’s history.

“We hope the webinar and the incentives give agents the opportunity to upskill themselves, and to learn more about the wide array of exciting and diverse experiences on offer across Oklahoma in preparation for the increased demand we anticipate from both the New Zealand and Australian markets in 2021 and beyond.”

Oklahoma is home to the longest single-state drivable stretch of Route 66, with the classic road-trip taking adventurers through a number of towns and cities along the route, including Miami (pronounced Miama), Clinton, El Reno and Oklahoma’s two largest cities: Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

In addition to the webinar and ‘Watch and Win’ incentive, agents who are wanting to explore further have additional resources at their disposal including the new Oklahoma Discovery Badge, just launched as part of the ongoing Brand USA Discovery Badge program. Agents who complete the program are encouraged to share the Oklahoma Discovery Badge logo, found on the site, on their own websites to show their certification as an Oklahoma expert.
