Sea Cloud Cruises‘ new three-mast vessel, Sea Cloud Spirit, will make her long-awaited debut on 22 April 2021.
The pandemic has delayed the 136-passenger vessel’s launch, postponed from its original date of August 2020.
Sea Cloud Spirit‘s maiden voyage will be a 10-day ‘Tour of Spain, operating roundtrip from Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and visiting Barcelona, Tarragona and Valencia before charting a course to the Balearic Islands.
The 138-metre-long, full-rigged ship will also be named in Palma before her inaugural departure.
Sea Cloud Spirit is the cruise line’s third ship. Like her sister ships, Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II, Spirit combines an exclusive private yacht atmosphere with traditional sailing skills to create an extraordinary travel experience.
The ship has a capacity of 136 guests and, for the first time, the company is able to offer balcony cabins, which were previously only available for much larger motor ships.
The tall-ship is currently having its interior fitted and will be handed over to Sea Cloud Cruises in the first quarter of 2021 after extensive sea trials.
Sea Cloud Spirit‘s first voyage is characterised by relaxing days at sea and a varied cultural and excursion program on land.
Earlier this month, Sea Cloud Cruises revealed the return to service voyages for Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II.
