New Wings Over the World Journeys for 2022

Abercrombie & Kent bolsters private air program, with new additions in Europe

As the vaccine rollout commences, travellers are responding by planning bigger and more rewarding trips to celebrate missed milestones. Abercrombie & Kent’s Wings Over the World Journeys enable a small group of travellers to explore an entire region all in one hit, thanks to timesaving private air charters. These trips offer more time on the ground, instead of in transit, allowing guests to indulge in more exclusive experiences and unmatched insider access.

Privacy of private air

“Our Wings Over the World Journeys are perfect for those who want to make up for lost time and splurge on new experiences,” says Sujata Raman, Abercrombie & Kent Regional Managing Director Australia / Asia Pacific.

“Travel by privately-chartered air enables guests to see more and do more, while offering a seamless experience flying point to point, with expedited check-in and immigration procedures.

“There are two redesigned journeys in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean plus itineraries in East and Southern Africa; Israel, Jordan & Egypt; Spain & Morocco; Greece & Turkey and Argentina, Chile & Brazil.

The historic and cultural links between England, Iceland, Germany and Russia are explored on this unique adventure. Guests will experience London like a local, including a ferry trip on the Thames and a culinary stroll through Southwark’s Borough Market.

‘Design Your Day’ options include visiting Windsor Castle, exploring the Royal Horticultural Society Home Garden, savouring a gin-focused walking tour or biking through the city. Wings itineraries allow more time to explore with an A&K Resident Tour Director who has lived for decades, if not their entire lives, in the region and offers an insightful personal perspective. With most journeys limited to just 12 or 13 guests, A&K includes exclusive experiences only possible for intimate groups, such as lunch with a celebrated local winemaker or private access to the paws of the Great Sphinx.

Morocco, Sahara Desert, A&K Exclusive Desert Tented Camp

On a select day, Design Your Day experiences offer a choice of at least three expert-crafted activities, with one adventure planned with active guests in mind. In Marrakech, there’s an engaging opportunity to cook with Moroccan spices alongside a local chef, explore the souks with an expert guide, or walk the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah) to learn about its history of religious tolerance. In the Masai Mara, guests join in a farm-to-table cooking experience, visit A&K Philanthropy projects making a difference in local communities, or gain new perspectives during a walking safari along the Mara River with an expert naturalist guide.

Take it Private

With nearly 60 years’ experience providing private experiential travel, A&K has the ability to recreate any Wings Over the World journey for a private group, or customise a completely new Luxury Tailor Made Journey by Private air.

“Wings journeys are available on an exclusive basis for private parties, allowing guests to choose when and with whom they want to travel. Each itinerary can be customised based on group size and aircraft availability,” adds Raman.
