Luxury Lodges of Australia has introduced a guide to last-minute availability at its collection of boutique properties around the country.
The webpage has been designed to offer a snapshot to consumers and travel advisors of which of the 18 members are available and when. Properties in the collection include Longitude 131, Lizard Island, Lake House, Saffire, The Louise, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley and more.
“While the challenges of 2020 are not yet behind us, there does seem to be a sense of emerging optimism. But the thing that is really energising us is the growing desire for our guests to travel and travel better,” Luxury Lodges of Australia said.
“Forward bookings for the lodges are reflecting significant pent-up demand from travellers who value the lodge experience, ethos and natural isolation.”
The platform lists availability until the end of December 2021, but is especially useful for member properties and travel advisors alike, for when state borders are suddenly closed, potentially preventing interstate travellers from checking-in, and creating eleventh-hour availability.
Given the limited key-count at some properties, such as Pretty Beach House which has just four extravagant pavilions, the new tool is a godsend for helping to fill suddenly empty rooms and suites.
“While availability for many lodges is limited through much of 2021, with the ongoing complexity of state border openings and closings, there are some last-minute windows of availability – made possible when other guests are unable to travel,” Luxury Lodges of Australia said.
“This is a fast-changing scene so, whether you plan to travel now or in twelve months, our advice is to lock a date in now.”
According to the Availability Calendar properties such as Capella Lodge and Qualia are booked heavily until the end of the year.
If clients are considering a stay at Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island anytime over the next year, then you’ll need to contact the property directly. The page advises that the retreat has “almost no availability left for 2021”.
It’s the same case for Luxury Lodges of Australia’s only floating member, True North, with the portal indicating the cruise company has limited availability throughout this year and into 2022.
Qualia on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef has restricted space up until June, with some limited options in July, then strong occupancy levels until the end of the year.
“While we suggest planning ahead to avoid disappointment, take a look at our new guide to last-minute availability which is updated regularly. However, it is a fast-changing scene so availability can only be confirmed direct with a lodge,” the company said.
