Four tempting itineraries set to appeal to Australian cruisers

After an initial preview period, Oceania Cruises is now accepting reservations for its newly-released 2022/2023 Tropics and Exotics itineraries.

The Collection encompasses 127 itineraries across the Caribbean, South America, Asia, Africa, the South Pacific, Australia and beyond.

The voyages immerse guests in the best attractions in these wild and wonderful corners of the world, but also leave room for the discovery of the unexpected.

Some 280 Overnight stays have also been incorporated into the program, offering guests the chance to dine ashore and enjoy leisurely touring in destinations such as Panama City, Buenos Aires, Shanghai and Tokyo.

Oceania Cruises also offers a diverse range of Go Local Tours, wellness and culinary-focused excursions around the globe.

Highlight itineraries

Aussie Adventure

Returning in 2022 is a circumnavigation of Australia. The 35-day Aussie Adventure aboard Regatta will take guests north from Sydney along the east coast en-route to Darwin via Cairns, Thursday Island, the Coral Sea and Arafura Sea. From the Northern Territory capital guests sail across the Timor Sea to Komodo and onto Bali for an overnight stay on Christmas night in the Indonesian tourist mecca.

The voyage then charts a course south, visiting Australia’s northwest coastline with stops in Broome and Geraldton and another overnight stay in Perth (Fremantle). From here it’s on to Busselton and Albany before crossing the Great Australian Bight to Adelaide. A full-day awaits guests on Kangaroo Island, followed by more wildlife spotting opportunities on Phillip Island just outside of Melbourne. The next three nights are spent in Tasmanian waters with port calls in Burnie, Hobart and Port Arthur, before Regatta returns to Sydney.

Patagonia & Glaciers

Operating westbound from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago del Chile (and vice-versa in reverse), the 20-day Patagonia & Glaciers will spend half of its entire voyage with cruise days for guests to lap up the gourmet dining experiences and lavish amenities and experiences offered aboard Marina. Port calls are planned for Montevideo and Punta Del Este in Uruguay, and Port Stanley in the Falkland Islands before five-days of back-to-back days at sea in Antarctic waters, including the infamous Drake Passage.

The voyage offers a full-day’s reprieve in Ushuaia and another day in Chile’s southernmost Patagonia region, Punta Arenas, followed by two days cruising the spectacular Chilean Fjords. From here it is on to Laguna San Rafael – home of the huge San Valentin Glacier – Puerto Chacabuco and Puerto Montt, concluding in Santiago del Chile.

Tahitian Legends

The 10-day Tahitian Legends is that hot there are three back-to-back itineraries running from mid-March 2023 aboard Regatta. This itinerary operates roundtrip from Papeete and covers all the hallmarks of a French Polynesian experience, visiting the stunning Moorea and Bora Bora (including an Overnight stay), along with Fakarava, Rangiroa and Raiatea. There are also two full days at sea for guests to get to explore all the nooks and crannies aboard the ship, or spend some R&R time poolside. The 10-day Tahitian Legends voyage is priced from $4,010 per guest.

Blossoming Japan

Complete cultural immersion is installed for guests on the 10-day Blossoming Japan cruise, timed to coincide with the cherry blossom season. Setting out from Tokyo, this one-off itinerary explores Nagoya, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Hososhima, Kochi and Shmizu, with an Overnight in Osaka and a full-day in nearby Busan, South Korea. Sailing aboard Nautica, the voyage is priced from $5,060 per guest.

Agent Bring Client events

Meanwhile, Oceania Cruises will host its series of ‘Agent Bring Client’ (ABC) events nationally, bringing the series to Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney, and Adelaide in March, followed by Melbourne in April and Perth in May.

Attendees can enjoy a deep dive into Oceania Cruises’ unique offering, including its curated travel experiences, exquisitely crafted cuisine, and small ship luxury. Guests will also be among the first to learn about standout itineraries from the 2022-2023 Tropics & Exotics Collection.

The events will consist of two sessions, commencing at 2pm and 6:30pm respectively. For the first time, Oceania Cruises will also hold a session exclusively for its travel agents at each event, at 4:30pm. Agents who attend these sessions will learn about important company updates, current promotions and new itineraries, marketing tools and sales tips, in addition to having the opportunity to ask their hosts questions.
