Silversea Cruises‘ shattered its bookings records with its new 2023 World Cruise selling out on the first day it opened to general public bookings.
Silversea said the success of the voyage aboard the 388-guest Silver Shadow was fuelled by peak pre-sale demand.
Departing on 10 January 2023, the itinerary will visit 66 destinations in 34 countries across five continents, including 10 days exploring Tasmania and New Zealand.
Fares on the 139-day voyage from Sydney to Fort Lauderdale ranged from $104,000 to $388,000 per guest.
Guests from North America and the UK were also able to take advantage of Silversea’s first-ever partnership with Qantas, which offered door-to-door service, airport lounge entry and Business class flights.

“We are delighted to have seen unprecedented demand for our World Cruise 2023, South Side Story, which sold out within hours of its general opening,” said Roberto Martinoli, Silversea’s President & CEO.
“The most successful World Cruise launch in the history of our cruise line, this triumph pays testament to the strong demand we are seeing in the market, particularly from affluent, sophisticated travellers.
“I strongly advise our travel partners to be quick in adding their interested clients to the voyage’s waitlist, as Silver Shadow is sure to embark upon this remarkable itinerary at capacity,” Martinoli added.
