CLIA ship showcase to spotlight new luxury vessels

Week-long Online Debut Virtual Showcase to highlight 18 new vessels

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia will host a virtual welcome for more than a dozen new cruise ships (including six ultra-luxury vessels) about to join the world fleet this year.

The first-ever Ocean Debut Showcase for travel agent members will run for a week in May 2023.

As the industry works to achieve resumption in destinations around the world, cruise lines are preparing to unveil a succession of new ships that will help re-energize cruising and offer exciting new experiences for guests.

Running each day between Monday 10 May and Friday 14 May, CLIA’s Ocean Debut Showcase is designed to give agents valuable insight into these latest cruise ships. It will include presentations from 13 different CLIA cruise lines, showcasing 18 new ships.

Half a dozen ships in the luxury/ultra-luxury segment will be highlighted, including three Silversea vessels (Silver Moon, Silver Dawn and Silver Origin) and Ponant’s Le Commandant-Charcot, Seabourn Venture and Crystal Endeavor.

Other vessels showcased include MSC Virtuosa and MSC Seashore, Aurora Expeditions’ Sylvia Earle, Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady, as well as Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Apex.

Each ship will be profiled in detail, covering topics including ship facts, dining, entertainment, accommodation, public spaces, new innovative features and designs, and the experiences guests can expect when they step on board.

Participants will earn three CLIA Accreditation points by completing a short post-event quiz for each cruise line presentation they attend live. In addition, there are five prize packs to be won by collecting a codeword given during each live session.
