Azamara has released details of its deployment of Azamara Quest to Australia, New Zealand and Asia in 2022 and for summer/autumn of 2023.
There are 11 sailings on offer in the program, which include Azamara’s quintessential “Country-Intensive” itineraries that provide in-depth experiences, with longer stays and more overnights to explore further.
The 690-passenger ship is scheduled to arrive in Geraldton, Western Australia and then Perth as part of an 11-night Bali & Western Australia voyage that departs Singapore on 10 December 2022, with prices from $4,104 per person twin share (plus $257.99 taxes, fees and port expenses).
Azamara Quest’s first full domestic departure of the new season leaves Perth on 21 December and sails along the southern coastline of Australia, with calls in Busselton, Albany, Esperance, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, Eden, Sydney and culminating in Melbourne. The 14-night Australia Intensive cruise includes Christmas Day at sea crossing the Great Australian Bight, a late-night departure in Adelaide and New Year’s Eve in Sydney. Prices start at $8,105 per person twin share (plus $867.06 taxes, fees and port expenses).
Two Trans-Tasman one-way voyages then follow; the 17-day Australia & New Zealand journey from Melbourne on 4 January 2023 to Auckland, which includes visits to Milford Sound, Dunedin, Akaroa, Wellington, Nelson, Picton, Napier, Tauranga and the Bay of Islands. Prices from $8,425 per person (plus $1,091.51 taxes, fees and port expenses).
Then a 16-night New Zealand & Australia sailing from Auckland on 21 January 2023 back to Sydney, with calls at similar ports as well as Hobart, Tasmania and Eden, NSW in Australia. This cruise features an overnight stop in Dunedin and three back-to-back late-night departures from Napier, Wellington and Nelson, along with a 10pm push back from Hobart. Prices start at $7,685 per person (plus $854.03 taxes, fees and port expenses).
On 6 February, Azamara Quest will embark on another 13-night Australia Intensive voyage between Sydney and Perth, visiting eight ports and including four late nights in Melbourne, Portland (on Victoria’s South West coast), Kangaroo Island and Adelaide, plus an overnight in Perth. Prices from $6,235 per person (plus $559.52 taxes, fees and port expenses).
The final local sailing for the season is a 16-night Western Australia to Asia voyage from Perth to Hong Kong, departing on 19 February 2023. Priced from $7,055 (plus $620.93 taxes, fees and port expenses), this sailing has a late-night departure from Geraldton before three days at sea, bound for Benoa (Bali). The voyage explores Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang (Hue and Hoi An) and concludes in Hong Kong on 7 March.
Azamara also lists three other close-to-home voyages in Asia, comprising a 12-night Hong Kong to Tokyo cruise; and two back-to-back 15-night Japan Intensive sailing in late March and early April 2023.
