Luxury Australian touring company Constellation Journeys is set to announce details of further domestic tour products after the sell-out success of the company’s first domestic air tour.
“Response has been sensational and we are now exploring options for a second Australian air tour for late 2021,” said company founder and Managing Director Dan Kotzmann.
Last month, Kotzmann and his team personally escorted 112 guests on Constellation Journeys’ first ‘Destination Australia’ adventure flying by privately chartered Qantas Boeing 737 to exclusive, curated experiences Tasmania, South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.
The all-inclusive, eight-day tour departed Sydney and attracted guests from six states and territories meeting strong demand from travellers seeking new domestic travel opportunities following restrictions due to COVID-19.
“It was tremendously exciting to take off again with our guests and to see their reactions to our product and service and the experiences we had in store for them,” said Kotzmann said.
“Many had been searching for the right opportunity to travel in comfort and style, and we feel we are delivering exactly what the premium market is seeking.”
To celebrate a return to the skies, Constellation Journeys exclusively chartered a Qantas Boeing 737-800 with a special livery and engaged with dozens of small- and medium-sized businesses in cities, rural and regional centres.
“By engaging with regional centres and operators we have been able to create exceptional travel experiences for our guests and also help our industry partners as they reopen and rebuild their businesses,” Kotzmann added.
The company has also expanded its offering to luxury domestic cruising in partnership with fellow Australian travel company, Coral Expeditions.
The first Constellation Journeys Coral Expeditions ‘Kimberley Coast Expedition’ departing in September this year is also almost fully booked. Guests will cruise from Broome to Darwin on board the purpose-built, luxury Coral Adventurer launched in 2019.
Kotzmann revealed that Constellation Journeys would soon release a new Tasmanian cruise, also through Coral Expeditions, departing in March 2022. That voyage will be aboard Coral Discoverer.
Like many businesses in travel, Constellation Journeys’ has found new opportunities in pivoting its offering.
“I am immensely proud of our product, the efforts of my team and the wonderful feedback we are receiving from our very happy guests.
“When we launched our company in 2017, we wanted to provide all-inclusive, affordable, exclusive international travel, escorting our guests safely and in style to places around the world that they might not otherwise see or access in a single journey.
“We were also well aware of the many amazing travel opportunities in our own vast country and we have brought those ideas forward, now creating all-inclusive, luxury domestic touring.
“Our product development is guided by our deep understanding of our market. Each one of our guests is a VIP to us and a huge part of the thrill is creating exceptional experiences that we know will amaze them.
Planning is also underway for additional international products, with the company’s next international air tour to be announced mid-year. Bookings for its luxury Trans-Siberian Railway Tour travelling from Moscow to Vladivostok onboard the Golden Eagle departing August 2022 are also still open.
