Flight Centre Travel Group recently partnered with hotels in Brisbane and Sydney to connect with their Travel Partners, Flight Centre Independent & Travel Associates at Home independent consultants, gather feedback and provide an update on exciting developments within this growing division within the Flight Centre business.
Last week in Sydney, consultants were hosted at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney at Martin Place in the CBD. After a site inspection of this historically significant property, the Fullerton provided a beautiful morning tea, complete with Sydney Slings, the hotel’s signature cocktail that gives a nod to its sister property in Singapore.
This week in Brisbane, Emporium Hotel South Bank hosted morning tea in the Piano Bar and showcased the property’s unique features, such as the infinity pool and poolside bar overlooking the city skyline.
Astrid Richardson, FCTG Independent Collective’s chief, shared her confidence in the future of travel, particularly for those in the independent space, saying that the division has seen consistent and continuous growth over the past eight months, with many independent contractors capitalising on the trust they have built with their customers over many years.
Their lower overheads set them in good stead to recover first out of this pandemic. Flight Centre Travel Group’s Independent Division has grown by 40 per cent during the pandemic, welcoming new agents to their Travel Partners brand, as well as launching two new independent models associated with their famous brands: Flight Centre Independent and Travel Associates at Home.
The team is hoping to get to Melbourne soon to visit mobile and member consultants in the city, with the date of the next event still to be confirmed.
