Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady to homeport in San Juan

Third ship in Richard Branson's fleet to offer three itineraries in Southern Caribbean

Virgin Voyages has released details of new Southern Caribbean itineraries that are now bookable aboard Resilient Lady from late 2022 and into early 2023.

Reservations opened for the maiden itineraries on Virgin Voyage’s third ship in March this year. Resilient Lady will initially operate from Piraeus, Athens starting August 2022, cruising the Greek Isles and Croatian coastline.

This week, Virgin Voyages confirmed its next homeport for Resilient Lady will be in Puerto Rico, the brand’s second Caribbean hub behind Miami, Florida. From San Juan, the ship will cruise to destinations in Aruba, Curacao, St. Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, Martinique, Barbados, Antigua, Guadeloupe and the British Virgin Islands.

Wrapping up its first summer in the Mediterranean is a 9-night Charming Greece, Italy, Spain & Portugal voyage on 23 October 2022 from Pireaus to Lisbon, with calls at Catania, Palma de Mallorca and Malaga.

A transAtlantic positioning cruise from Portugal to Puerto Rico is also now bookable, along with Christmas and New Year’s sailings.

Options in the Caribbean include a 7-night Sunsets in the Lesser Antilles, operating roundtrip from San Juan once a month between December 2022 and April 2023, with port calls at Oranjestad, Willemstad, Fort de France and Basseterre. Prices start from AU$5,489 per suite in the RockStar Quarters.

Also operating to and from San Juan is the 7-night Southeastern Caribbean Isles which visits Tortola, Pointe-à-Pitre, Bridgetown, Castries and St. John’s. Prices start from AU$9,733 per suite in the Mega RockStar Quarters.

There are also two separate holiday voyages; a 7-night Resilient Caribbean Holidays cruise on 23 December (same itinerary as Southeastern Caribbean Isles), and an 8-night Resilient New Year’s Ahoy sailing (similar to Sunsets on the Lesser Antilles) on 30 December, priced from AU$3,936 and AU$5,800 per cabin respectively.

Additionally, Virgin Voyages has released a 6-night Scarlet New Year’s Ahoy departure on Scarlet Lady, operating roundtrip from Miami on 27 December 2022. That voyage will cruise to Roatan, Costa Maya and includes a full date at the Beach Club at Bimini. New Year’s eve itself is spent at sea in the Caribbean.
Prices start at AU$9,139 for the RockStar Quarters.

The 11-night Transatlantic Portugal to Puerto Rico sailing will depart Lisbon on 1 November 2022. There are three port calls en route, including Funchal, Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, before six full days at sea bound for San Juan. Prices start at AU$4,778 for the RockStar Quarters.
