Atlas Ocean Voyages will offer dedicated Solo Suites for single cruisers in a move it is referring to as an “industry-first”.
The Solo Suites will be available aboard Atlas Ocean Voyages’ maiden ship, World Navigator. The 200-guest ship is scheduled to launch in August 2021 in Egypt, however the new suite type will be bookable (without a Single Supplement) for voyages departing from 22 March 2022, and onward.
The Solo Suites will be a modest 17 square-metres in size, appointed in “retro-chic, simply elegant décor,” Atlas Ocean Voyages said.
There will be eight Solo Suites onboard World Navigator, all positioned on Deck 3. The vessel offers four suite accommodations options (all with Butler Service) with the Navigator, Discovery and Journey suites spread across Decks 5 and 6.

The Solo Suite features a queen-size bed, flanked by twin nightstands with embedded USB and power outlets, and lay opposite a 42-inch, flat-panel television and infotainment system.
A large, picture-frame window hangs over a desk which also encloses a mini-fridge stocked with the guest’s personal beverage preferences. The en suite, marble-panelled bathroom features L’OCCITANE bath amenities and is accentuated with a mosaic-tiled shower with surround body jets and rain shower for a restorative, spa-like experience in the privacy of the Solo Suite.
Ample storage is also built into the Solo Suites. In addition to two closets for clothes, guests also enjoy an additional shoe closet to hold footwear.
“We are always searching for ways to elevate and innovate the luxe-adventure experience,” said Alberto Aliberti, President of Atlas Ocean Voyages.

“As the first new luxury product in the industry for more than two decades, Atlas is already poised as the industry’s most-inclusive luxe experience. Atlas’ new Solo Suites is another example of how we are catering to the new lifestyles and preferences of the modern luxury traveller,” Aliberti added.
World Navigator will launch on 4 August 2021, operating a series of five sailings from Athens (Pireaus), Greece and Cairo (Alexandra), Egypt. The itineraries range from seven- to 12-nights duration.
From mid-September, the new ship will then explore Italy and the Mediterranean, before a transAtlantic crossing to the Caribbean in mid-October, continuing on along the South American coastline ahead of its inaugural Antarctica deployment from November to March 2022.
