Marriott International’s W Hotels is now accepting reservations for its maiden Italian property, W Rome, beginning mid-November 2021, LATTE can reveal.
The 162 room and suite hotel will open on Via Liguria, a short distance from the Roman landmark Villa Borghese Gardens, Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain.
W Rome spans two adjacent 19th-century buildings in the energetic Via Veneto neighbourhood, known for its fashion, thriving dining scene, chic cafés and late-night haunts. Originally intended for residential use, the buildings previously operated as a hotel, as well as offices for government ministries and private companies. The structures have been meticulously renovated and re-imagined to refresh the historic elements.
On the rooftop, W Rome will feature the W Lounge Bar offering sweeping cityscape views and enjoy the brand’s playful approach to cocktail culture. Social spaces at W Rome include the W Living Room along with two restaurants, Giano Restaurant for all-day dining, and Otto Rooftop.
A scheduled opening date of September 2021 is mentioned on Marriott’s website, however online availability indicates rooms are bookable from 15 November, starting from €420 for a Fabulous room including breakfast for two, €470 for a Fantastic room, €620 for a Cool Corner, €920 for a Studio Suite, €1,210 for the Mega Suite and a whopping €7,530 for the Extreme WOW Suite, Roof Top Terrace.
W Rome is currently recruiting for numerous roles for its pre-opening team, including a Marketing Manager, Sales Executives, chefs, concierge and many more.
