Luxury French hotel brand, Airelles, has debuted its newest addition to the Airelles Exceptional Properties portfolio; Airelles Saint-Tropez, Château de la Messardière.
The 19th century five-star palace hotel has reopened for the first time in two years, now under the control of Airelles.
Acquired in May 2019, the 103-room and suite property has undergone extensive renovation work with highly acclaimed French architect and interior designer, Christopher Tollemer, overseeing the redesign. The property, with its trademark domed cupolas and turrets, is Saint-Tropez’s largest hotel, occupying 10 hectares of glorious grounds overlooking the Côte d’Azur and the countryside.
This year, Château de la Messardière will be welcoming a brand-new outdoor lap pool, which features a panoramic view over Pampelonne Bay. There is also a brand new state-of-the- art 1,000-square-metre Valmont spa complete with nine treatment rooms, Iyashi Dôme, hammam, sauna, indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, outdoor yoga and fitness platform and two tennis courts.
Guests can look forward to numerous exciting initiatives, including a summer culinary partnership with chef Nobu Matsuhisa, as well as ‘air, land and sea’ experiences for adults and families, including exclusive helicopter day trips, perfume making workshops, classic sidecar vineyard tours and hot air balloon rides.
Summer culinary partnership with chef Nobu Matsuhisa
From now until 10 October 2021, Château de la Messardière is partnering with world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The restaurant Matsuhisa Saint-Tropez will offer guests a unique blend of Japanese-French fusion cuisine, with a particular focus on fresh seafood.
The extensive menu will boast a selection of Matsuhisa’s legendary dishes including yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño and yuzu soya sauce, black cod with saikyo-yaki miso and Rock Shrimp tempura.
In addition to the new restaurant Matsuhisa Saint-Tropez, Château de la Messardière has completely redesigned its culinary offering with both local and international concepts to delight all. This includes the arrival of L’Auberge des Maures, one of the most iconic restaurants in Saint-Tropez, which will offer authentic Provençal cuisine with traditional specialties.
