Six Senses Ibiza has opened this month at the northern tip of Xarraca Bay in the Balearic Islands. The resort is the first Spanish property for Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.
Integrated into the contours of Xarraca Bay, Six Senses Ibiza features 116 guest rooms and suites, including one-of-a-kind cave suites built into the cliffs. There are also a handful of Village Residences ideal for large groups or longer-term stays.
Conceived by architect and developer Jonathan Leitersdorf, the year-round destination offers a suite of amenities and programming, farm-to-table dining, music, art, sustainable fashion, culture, longevity and wellness.
The resort’s flagship dining destination, HaSalon Ibiza, and full bar and restaurant offering, showcase the powers of organic, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients in new and innovative ways. Master Chef Eyal Shani intends to revitalise Ibiza’s energy for plant-based dining, harnessing the island’s natural abundance of ingredients — from avocados to watermelons, oranges, lemons and Ibiza rock salt. The goal is for the food to do the talking. The open kitchen allows the guests to become part of Shani’s creative process as they gather at the 50-seat chef’s table in the shade of 100-year-old olive trees.
The Farmers’ Market offers an authentic selection of natural and sustainable specialty items, from wood-fired pizzas to traditional coffees and treats. The Orchard is the property’s most intimate dining venue that blends classic, local cuisine with Mexican-Peruvian cocktails. Live Cave, Twin Bar, and Farmacy Bar offer nourishing mixology experiences comprised of organic, made-to-order juices, elixirs, wines, and spirits.
The property is also home to the group’s wellness facility, the Six Senses Spa, while the Rose Bar offers a one-of-a-kind destination for impactful longevity programs, combining diagnostics with nutritional guidance and modern healing methods to optimise health and performance.
