Oceania Cruises Solo suites feature a private balcony

Luxury solution for single travellers who choose to cruise alone

The Solo Veranda Stateroom will be offered aboard Oceania Cruises' Vista

Oceania Cruises has offered glimpses of its first-ever suites dedicated to single travellers which will soon be bookable for guests cruising aboard Vista.

A preview of the Concierge Level Solo Veranda stateroom on Vista was released as part of the wider Suites and Staterooms launch by Oceania Cruises last month.

Vista will offer six Solo Suites on Deck 9, each around 25 square-metres in size, and with a personal balcony. Suites will feature what appears to be a single-sized bed with a side table, a separate living space equipped with a writing desk, twin-seat sofa, mini-bar, fridge, closet and wall-mounted flatscreen TV. A modest-sized bathroom is tucked in the corner and likely contains a stand-up shower, versus a bath.

“Globally, we have witnessed a growing demand for safe and comfortable solo travel, so we are delighted to be able to offer travellers in Australia and New Zealand solo Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms, aboard our newest ship, Vista,” said Jason Worth, Vice President Australia and New Zealand, Oceania Cruises.

“This truly is a first for Oceania Cruises, and is testament to the promise that we make to each of our guests to deliver on not only meeting their travel penchants, but to constantly improve on the overall guest experience.”

“Each solo Concierge Level Veranda Stateroom features a welcoming sitting area overlooking a private veranda. The separate sleeping area houses an extremely comfortable Tranquility Bed and includes ample storage. And like all Concierge Level guests, solo travellers will receive an abundant array of extra amenities such as complimentary laundry services and keycard access to the exclusive Concierge Lounge,” Worth added.

Previously, former Norwegian Cruise Line Holding President of International, Harry Sommer, told LATTE that Oceania’s Solo Suite on Vista would provide a “solution” to Oceania’s demographic of guests aged 60-80 that were single but still avid cruisers.

“Spacious yet cosy, each features all of the comforts and luxuries world travellers expect,” Oceania Cruises says.

Those single travellers lucky enough to nab one of the Concierge Level Solo Veranda suites will also be privy to the private venue on Deck 9 where guests can enjoy access to complimentary soft drinks, coffees and snacks throughout the day. They will also gain unlimited use of the Aquamar Spa Terrace.
