New 2022 Viking Mars ocean itineraries released

Passage to India and Across the Bay of Bengal sailings open for bookings

Viking has released two new ocean cruise itineraries in 2022 on its newest ocean ship – the 930-guest Viking Mars. The itineraries allow guests the opportunity to explore a mix of destinations, such as Greece, Oman and Egypt, or Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand.

The 2022 itineraries, which offer savings of up to AU$2,000 per couple, include:

  • 21-day Passage to India departing 25 October 2022, from Athens to Mumbai and priced from just AU$9,695 per person in a Veranda Stateroom. Highlights include Haifa, Israel; Luxor, Egypt; and Aqaba, Jordan – the gateway to the lost city of Petra.
  • 16-day Across the Bay of Bengal departing 14 November 2022, from Mumbai to Bangkok and priced from just AU$6,995 per person in a Veranda Stateroom. Highlights include Goa, India; Koh Samui, Thailand as well as an overnight stay in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Plus, with Viking’s Risk-Free Guarantee available until 31 August 2021, the cruise line offers travellers the freedom to change their plans up to 14 days before departure.

“We released two similar itineraries for 2018 which proved to be extremely popular and sold out within a matter of weeks. So with only one departure for each itinerary next year we encourage guests to book now,” said Michelle Black, Viking ANZ Managing Director.

“Most of our ocean itineraries are now almost sold for 2022 so this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to cruise the oceans with Viking next year.”

For those guests wanting to cruise for even longer, these two incredible itineraries can also be combined to create one 37-day voyage of discovery from Athens to Bangkok. Alternatively, create the ultimate voyage by combining four of Viking Mars’ inaugural sailings resulting in an epic 67-day voyage from Athens to Sydney.

Terms and conditions apply. Offers valid for new bookings made before 30 September 2021 unless sold out prior.

Viking Mars – the eighth ship in the Viking Ocean fleet – was floated out at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard in Italy last month. The ship will debut in early 2022.
