After the 100% sell-out and resounding success of its ‘Destination Australia’ air tour in April this year, luxury tour company Constellation Journeys has announced a 9-day Australia & New Zealand journey travelling by privately chartered Qantas 737 from Sydney to Queenstown, Norfolk Island and Hayman Island.
Within days of releasing the new itinerary on its website, Constellation Journeys received bookings and inquiries from travellers throughout Australia, with all Business Class seats quickly selling out.
“This is our first jet venture outside of Australia again and what better place to start than in our own region taking our guests to amazing locations an easy 737 flight away,” said Dan Kotzmann, Managing Director, Constellation Journeys.
“We are delighted at the enthusiastic response from travellers, who like us, are looking ahead with confidence.
“With only 12 Business Class seats on a Qantas 737 we knew these would sell quickly – but to be sold out within 24 hours of our launch was incredible”.
In Superior Class, each guest has either a window or aisle seat with the centre seat blocked. Onboard Qantas chefs deliver a business class standard meal in Superior Class, complemented with fine wines, including French Champagne.

“Extraordinary travelling with absolute peace of mind is always our promise to our guests and we also believe that trust in our brand is a very important factor,” he said.
“We go to great lengths to imagine and curate exceptional travel experiences, so that our guests who we regard as VIPs, can simply immerse themselves and enjoy, but operational integrity is essential,” he added.
“While that means we take care of everything, all the essential special touches that are the hallmarks of exceptional service, behind the scenes compliance is paramount.
Guests on Constellation Journeys ‘Destination Australia & New Zealand’ tour will fly by privately chartered Qantas jet with Qantas crew, and be cared for every step of the way by Constellation Journeys own team of hosts, personally selected by Kotzmann for their specialist travel and touring expertise.

Jetting directly from Queenstown to Norfolk, Constellation Journey’s guests will stay at the South Pacific Resort Hotel and the Governors Lodge Resort Hotel, dine on local seafood and taste and tour with local experts as they are immersed in the unique scenery, culture and fascinating history of Norfolk Island.

From Norfolk, with a brief stop in Brisbane to clear quarantine and customs, Constellation Journeys guests will fly on to Great Barrier Reef Airport, transferring from private plane to private yacht to be whisked to Hayman Island.
Whilst on Hayman for two days of tropical luxury, they will experience their preferences of fine dining, swimming or snorkelling, cruising the Coral Sea to nearby islands, exclusive guided fishing, speedboat adventures and a candle-lit beachside banquet.
In April this year, Kotzmann and his team personally escorted 112 guests on Constellation Journeys’ first ‘Destination Australia’ adventure flying by privately chartered Qantas Boeing 737 to exclusive, curated experiences Tasmania, South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.
The all-inclusive, 8-day tour departed Sydney and attracted guests from six Australian states and territories.
“It is always tremendously exciting to take off again with our guests and immensely rewarding to see their reactions to our service and the experiences we create for them,” Kotzmann said.

Constellation Journeys has also expanded its offering to luxury domestic cruising in partnership with fellow Australian travel company, Coral Expeditions.
The company’s first ‘Tasmanian Expedition’ cruise product will sail from Hobart to Launceston aboard Coral Discoverer from 13-24 March 2022.
Constellation Journeys ‘Kimberley Coast Expedition’ departing 23 September next year is almost fully booked.
Guests will cruise from Broome to Darwin on board the purpose-built, luxury Coral Adventurer.
Constellation Journeys is also receiving bookings for its luxury Trans-Siberian Railway Tour travelling from Moscow to Vladivostok onboard the Golden Eagle, departing August 2022.
“With rapidly increasing vaccinations across the country and positive commentary from Qantas and other airlines about borders opening later this year and into 2022, we are optimistic we will be able to operate our Trans-Siberian journey,” Kotzmann told LATTE.
