The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts have expanded in India this month with the debut of The Leela Gandhinagar, in Gujarat’s vibrant capital city.
The hotel is built straddling a conventional railway station, 22 meters above ground and is the tallest structure and the largest hotel in the city. The Gandhinagar capital railway station has been redeveloped along with the 318 room hotel atop the tracks.

Located near the Dandi Kutir museum, The Leela Gandhinagar provides spectacular views of the Central Vista. The hotel’s lavish interiors draw influence from the rich archaeological and architectural antiquity of Gujarat.
Rooms and suites feature contemporary interiors blending grandeur, comfort, and modern sophistication. The bevy of suites also consists of Royal and 4 Presidential Suites, each offering a distinct magnitude of unparalleled opulence, ultra-modern facilities, and luxurious amenities.
The flooring is inspired by the Adalaj Stepwell and features elements like the famous Tree of Life at Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, traditional glass beadwork, textile craftsmanship of Bandhej, Ajrakh and Batik, among various other art inspirations embellishing the complex.
Onsite are four culinary experiences, including Citrus Junction for all-day dining, Moksha Lounge, which offers an all-day tapas menu, the fine-dining venue Diya, and The Royal Club Lounge exclusively available to guests staying in The Royal Club Rooms and Suites.
The property also features a holistic world-class spa, state-of-the-art gym and an outdoor pool. Adjacent to the hotel is the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre.
