Hilton’s Conrad Hotels & Resorts has signed its first property in California as part of a new, mixed-use development dubbed “The Grand LA”, located in downtown Los Angeles.
The 28-storey Conrad Los Angeles will feature 305 rooms, a spa, an elevated indoor/outdoor lobby with views of Walt Disney Concert Hall, and a rooftop terrace with a private pool deck that overlooks downtown LA.
Aside from the luxury hotel accommodation, The Grand LA will also feature a residential tower, a public plaza, open terraces to host live concerts, as well as a new dining and shopping precinct.
“With Los Angeles experiencing its largest downtown development boom in nearly a century, we believe 2022 is the right time to introduce such a dynamic hotel and exciting development to this cultural epicenter,” said Danny Hughes, Executive Vice President and President, Americas, Hilton.
Nils-Arne Schroeder, global brand head, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, commented: “We look forward to elevating the level of luxury hospitality in the destination next year with the opening of our first Conrad hotel in California and seeing the immersive cultural experiences at Conrad Los Angeles come to life for travelers and the local community.”
Conrad Hotels & Resorts operates 40 properties on five continents in destinations including New York, London, Istanbul and Hong Kong, however the luxury hotel brand is yet to arrive in Australia.
