Silversea has released a program of new domestic itineraries in Australia for Australian and New Zealand passengers, in anticipation of the reopening of local cruising, commencing 21 December 2021.
The ultra-luxury cruise line is now selling five core itineraries aboard the 596-passenger Silver Muse, ranging from 14- to 16-days, priced from $10,200 per person twin share. Prices include return Business class roundtrip airfares and transfers and US$250 shipboard credit.

“These voyages have been handcrafted in order to offer a wide-angle view of Australia,” Silversea said in an email to passengers today [Tuesday 28 September 2021].
“Make the most of the coast and explore a wealth of home-spun destinations from the stunning Freycinet Peninsula in Tasmania to Airlie Beach in Queensland’s glorious mix of saltwater lagoons and natural rainforests. What’s more, with overnights and late departures on every voyage, we promise an opportunity to travel deeper, wherever you are,” the cruise line said.
Silversea highlights on each itinerary that the program’s launch hinges on regulatory approvals, stating: “Silversea[‘s] resumption of cruising in Australian domestic waters is subject to Federal and state government approvals”.
Regarding health and safety, the company also notes “Silversea will continue to work closely with the Australian governing bodies and health authorities to evolve its health and safety procedures, as new health recommendations are issued.”
The five new core Australian sailings on Silver Muse include the following:
- Cairns to Melbourne | 16-days | Departing 21 December 2021, priced from $11,900 per person
Port calls include Townsville, Airlie Beach, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Eden, Burnie and Hobart. - Melbourne to Sydney | 15-days | Departing 6 January 2022, priced from $10,500 per person
Port calls include Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Hobart, Port Arthur, Burnie and Eden. - Sydney to Melbourne | 15-days | Departing 21 January 2022, priced from $10,500 per person
Port calls include Newcastle, Burnie, Hobart, Adelaide, Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island. - Melbourne to Cairns | 14-days | Departing 5 February 2022, priced from $10,200 per person
Port calls include Hobart, Port Arthur, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Mooloolaba and Airlie Beach. - Cairns to Melbourne | 15-days | Departing 19 February 2022, priced from $10,500 per person
Port calls include Airlie Beach, Brisbane, Mooloolaba, Sydney, Eden, Burnie and Hobart.
Shorter segments of 6-, 7-, 8- and 9-days are also available throughout the program.
Some of the sailings are also offering Single Supplements of 25%, and others are Venetian Society Sailings, providing Silversea’s loyal members with an additional 5% saving on the cruise fare.
