A keel-laying ceremony for the newest yacht in the Emerald Cruises fleet, Emerald Sakara, has been held at the Ha Long Shipyard in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.
Sister yacht to the soon-to-launch Emerald Azzurra, Emerald Sakara is the second luxury superyacht from Emerald Cruises in their ocean fleet, due to launch in Q1 2023.
Glen Moroney, Owner of Scenic Group (which includes the Emerald Cruises and Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours brands), said: “We’re very excited with the progress of our ocean yacht division at Emerald Cruises. Global demand from our guests for our yacht cruise product gave us the confidence to build a sister yacht to Emerald Azzurra. I would like to thank our partners at the Ha Long Shipyard for their ongoing support.”

Angus Crichton, Director – Sales, Marketing & Product, Australia & New Zealand for Emerald Cruises, added: “With the build of Emerald Sakara already started this shows how committed Emerald Cruises is to small ship and superyacht cruising. Our maximum amount of guests on any ship in our fleet is only 180.”
Following her maiden voyage through the Indian Ocean islands of the Seychelles in early 2023, Emerald Sakara will join Emerald Azzurra in sailing the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Red and Black Seas.
Emerald Sakara will feature balconies on 88% of cabins and more space per guest than similar vessels of her size. All guests will enjoy inclusive pricing which includes all onboard meals, complimentary wines, beers and soft drinks at lunch and dinner, plus a number of included excursions and onboard activities.
Emerald Sakara will be the 11th vessel in the Emerald Cruises fleet, which includes river ships that sail in Europe and Asia.
