Viking has introduced a handful of new inaugural Mississippi cruises for its launch season next year on the iconic US waterway. The sailings will be operated aboard Viking’s new 386-guest purpose-built state-of-the-art Viking Mississippi, which is inspired by the Viking Longships operated in Europe.

The cruise line has opened bookings for four new voyages, including three sailings of its 15-day America’s Great River itinerary in July and August – a month earlier than the originally planned 20 August debut which sold out.

The fourth additional departure is on Viking’s 8-day America’s Heartland itinerary from St. Paul, Minnesota to St. Louis, Missouri on 20 August 2022. Prices lead-in at $6,195 per person twin share. The same journey is sold out on 3 September 2022, as are the reverse sailings from St. Louis to St. Paul on 27 August and 10 September 2022.

New bookings can save up to $1,000 per couple when made by 24 December 2021.
