Scenic Group celebrated the official launch of the Emerald Cruises brand in Australia last night [Monday 29 November 2021] at an event for industry partners in Sydney.

“The Scenic Group is proud to officially launch the Emerald Cruises river and yacht cruising brand in Australia, with our valued trade and media partners,” said Anthony Laver, Group General, Manager Sales & Marketing, Australasia.

“Emerald Cruises represents the ultimate in small ship cruising and the two innovative superyacht products will provide guests with intimate and unique experiences. We are proud to be growing our global fleet and creating a new class of luxury yacht cruising.”

A new CGI video and images of the superyacht, Emerald Azzurra, was also unveiled for the first time at the event, held at The Ivy. The video showcases 360-degree features of the superyacht, including visualisations of the contemporary furnishings and décor on the Pool Deck, the Sky Deck and Sky Bar, Marina, and the Owner’s Suite terraces.

The Pool and Pool Café feature luxurious designer Missoni towels, Paola Lenti chairs and a gelato bar, and the Sky Bar on the Sky Deck where guests will sip cocktails at sunset and relax in the spa pool.

The Observation Deck will have early morning yoga sessions with coastal views. In the evening, this multi-functional area turns into an outdoor theatre, where guests can enjoy movies under the stars. The Observation Lounge is complete with Swarovski telescope, board games and a library.

The Marina platform is the gateway to a water sports paradise with kayaks, paddleboards, Sea Bobs and a water trampoline for guests to enjoy at their leisure.

“We are thrilled that Emerald Azzurra has completed her sea trials and is another step closer to completion,” said Angus Crichton, Director of Sales, Marketing and Product for Emerald Cruises. “This new video and images reveal just some of the superb features of this unique superyacht and what the experience will be like for the 100 guests onboard. There is truly nothing like it.”

Emerald Azzurra recently successfully completed sea trials in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam and the keel for second superyacht Emerald Sakara was laid in early November.

As Emerald Cruises inaugural superyacht, Emerald Azzurra welcomes her first guests in early 2022 to cruise the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Red Seas. Emerald Sakara joins the fleet in 2023, adding the Black Sea and Indian Ocean itineraries to the collection.
