Riviera Travel River Cruises opens reservations for 2023 program

Close to 300 voyages spanning 14 countries

Riviera Travel has opened reservations for its 2023 European river cruises with all prices matched with 2022 sailings for launch.

From March to November 2023, the UK-based company will offer a total of 299 cruises across 14 itineraries, including six sailings exclusively for solo travellers.

The itineraries cover countries such as France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary and the Netherlands, and include:

  • Douro, Porto and Salamanca. Eight-day sailing featuring eight guided tours and visits, including tours of Porto and Salamanca; dinner at a traditional Portuguese quinta; and visits to Castelo Rodrigo, Mateus Palace Gardens and Lamego. From $3,269 per person.
  • Burgundy, the River Rhône and Provence. Eight-day sailing featuring seven visits and tours including Lyon, Arles, Avignon and Vienne; a wine tasting in Beaune; and excursions to the Ardèche Gorges, Popes’ Palace and the Pont du Gard. From $3,359 per person.
  • The Blue Danube River Cruise: Vienna, Budapest and Salzburg. Eight-day sailing featuring seven tours and visits including guided tours of Vienna, Salzburg or Linz, Dürnstein, Budapest and Bratislava; and visits to Esztergom Basilica and Melk Abbey. From $3,069 per person.
  • Amsterdam, Kinderdijk and the Dutch Bulbfields. Five-day cruise, featuring five visits and tours including visits to the Keukenhof Gardens, Enkhuizen, Kinderdijk and Rotterdam, and a canal cruise in Amsterdam. From $1,799 per person.
Salamanca Cathedral - Spain

Guests in Deluxe and Superior suites, and all upper-deck cabins, can take advantage of Riviera Plus. The package offers guests complimentary new benefits including a smart handset with maps, translator, currency converter, unlimited calls, text messages and internet usage. L’Occitane en Provence toiletries are provided, while a bottle of chilled Prosecco is available on arrival, as well as a platter of fresh seasonal fruits during the sailing and an aperitif each evening.

An optional on-board drinks package is available to purchase, which offers a selection of drinks during lunch and dinner. The package starts from $110 per person for a five-day sailing.
