Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) this week announced a series of partner hotels that will be exhibiting at AIME 2022, taking place on 21–23 March in-person and 28 March–1 April online.
The line-up includes luxury resorts and hotels from Marriott International, Langham Hotels & Resorts, Crown Hotel & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, TFE Hotels, Minor Hotels and IHG Hotels & Resorts – with new announcements and properties to be revealed on the show floor.
As official partners, the eight hotel groups will also accommodate domestic and international hosted buyers during the show, with exclusive previews into their latest offerings.
Sean Hunt, Area Vice President of ANZP, Marriott International commented: “With Australia’s eastern states opening up and most domestic borders set to open next month, things are looking up for business events, and Marriott International is ready with our new scientifically-backed CONVERGE program.
“Marriott International has made a leading move in the MICE market to reinvent its face-to-face meeting offering as Australia emerges from the pandemic. Collaborating with leading psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, the research report found it has never been more important that society connects in person for our wellbeing, happiness and satisfaction,” Hunt said.
“The addition of Marriott’s most coveted luxury brands signifies Marriott’s confidence in the returned buoyancy of the high-end market and international travel. With the reopening of international travel to Australia and the easing of restrictions, Marriott is optimistic and excited about the future.”
André Jacques, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Langham, Melbourne said: “Participating in AIME is a vital component of our business strategy and an event that we look forward to every year.
“I know I speak on behalf of all of our team attending AIME that we’re filled with anticipation to see our clients and meet new ones face-to-face once again. While we’ve all managed remarkably working from home and being on countless Zoom meetings, nothing replaces the magic of meeting in person and we’re looking forward to doing so at AIME.”
Looking to use AIME as the event to reconnect with the industry, Ms Cinn Tan, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group, is also excited to supercharge business as the hotel group looks to launch 15 new properties by 2024.
“We’ve been confidently expanding our pipeline, with 15 new properties across 12 cities by 2024. This includes our recent addition of PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne, which opened in April 2021 within the M-City complex.
“We’re thrilled to be a partner of AIME 2022 and look forward to reconnecting with you all, as well as relaunching our face-to-face and hybrid meeting products.”
Delegates attending AIME in-person and online will hear first-hand about new venues and destinations, as well as corporate packages for events and work travel.
Endorsing the event’s commitment to create meaningful connections, AIME Event Director Silke Calder is eager to see delegates have their accommodation and event needs answered.
“With four months to go, the countdown is well and truly on for AIME 2022, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our line-up of hotel partners to date. It’s an exciting taste of what’s to come, and we can’t wait to announce more outstanding hotels and venues that will be showcasing next year.
“There are so many opportunities waiting to be discovered at AIME, with a strong sense of reunification for our community. As more borders begin to open, including our APAC neighbours such as Japan and Korea, we know that business and leisure will evolve into something truly special. We are confident delegates will be blown away with what’s in store for them.”
