Private Collection by Spicers takes to the water

Superyacht among new partners for Spicers Retreat sister-brand

Spicers Retreats’ new sub-brand, Private Collection by Spicers, has added a superyacht to its portfolio of intimate luxury operators.

Launched in July, Private Collection by Spicers debuted with a very small number of private homes, with a vision to expand its stable to over 50 members within 24 months in destinations including Hamilton Island, the Barossa and Port Douglas.

The brand, which is owned by Spicers Retreats founder Jude Turner and husband Flight Centre Co-Founder and CEO, Graham Turner,  has been relatively quiet since then.

According to the Private Collection’s website, there are now six members: Asgard House in the Glasshouse Mountains and First Point, Little Cove, Noosa – both in Queensland and inaugural members, and have now been joined by Mt French Lodge, Scenic Rim and The French Cottage – also both in Queensland, Vineyards House in the NSW Hunter Valley, and Phoenix One superyacht. The latter is available for charter in the Whitsundays, the Kimberleys and Northern Territory.

Beach Shack on Belongil Beach in Byron Bay, which was also revealed as a launch partner in July, doesn’t appear on the website.

Bookings for member properties still remain in limbo, however the Private Collection by Spicers’ website indicates Asgard House, First Point and Mt French Lodge will open for reservations next week on 8 December 2021, LATTE can reveal.

The brand also continues to seek new member properties online, welcoming inquiries.
