After an almost two-year hiatus, Scenic Eclipse, will operate six scheduled sailings in the region, commencing on 8 January 2022.

Scenic Eclipse continues to set the benchmark in all-inclusive ultra-luxury yacht cruising, being the first to offer guests a new underwater experience – to explore the waters of South Georgia by submarine.

Jason Flesher, Scenic’s Expedition Operations Manager comments: “We’ve been planning this 2022 season for months and the crew are excited to be sailing back to the pristine White Continent, for a season of ultra-luxury meets discovery. Thanks to the size and capabilities of Scenic Eclipse, we’ve been able to secure exclusive landings in Margarite Bay, a southern destination that very few other ships visit.”

For those planning ahead, Scenic has launched its 2023/24 Antarctica voyages prior to its full worldwide program which will follow in January – featuring three new itineraries in the region. These voyages will be operated by the original Scenic Eclipse and her enhanced sister-ship, Scenic Eclipse II, LATTE can reveal.

The new voyages include:

  • 9 day Antarctica Insights: Fly & Cruise enables guests to fly over the Drake Passage – arriving at King George Island to embark the Discovery Yacht. The flight option provides a shorter overall voyage and ensures guests will land in Antarctica fresh and ready to explore or there is the 9 day fly-fly itinerary, Wild Antarctica, Fly the Drake which includes return flights both ways.
  • 16-day Beyond the Antarctic Circle includes an additional night to cross and explore the Antarctic Circle in greater depth. Discovering 66° 33’ south brings with it a change in scenery, more sea ice and wildlife living off the krill-rich waters. The once-in-a-lifetime voyage offers a chance to explore more places, landings and to spend more time in Antarctica’s incredible wildlife-filled landscapes.
