Silversea introducing multiple new high-end suites on Silver Nova

Otium Suite, Signature Suite and a potential other new mystery suite

Silversea Cruises has opened pre-sale reservations for Silver Nova, the ultra-luxury cruise line’s first vessel in its new Nova class of ships. With a planned summer 2023 launch, Silver Nova will be the first low-emissions luxury cruise ship with advanced hybrid technology featuring fuel cells, paving the way for the future of luxurious, sustainable cruising.

The inaugural season for Silver Nova will commence on 15 July 2023 and include sailings ranging from seven- to 23-days. The program was unveiled in a new e-brochure, which also offers the first insight on some of the new ship’s luxury suites.

During the maiden season, Silver Nova is scheduled to offer 20 journeys in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and South America, as well as a transoceanic crossing to unlock over 100 destinations and 50 countries.

The ultra-luxury cruise line says passenger comfort is assured: “with the largest offering of suite types in Silversea’s history, among the most spacious in the cruise industry, including a collection of prized aft suites affording 270-degree views”.

All-new Suite options

Deck Plan of Silver Nova

The configuration of Silversea’s Muse Class ships – the third and final of which, Silver Dawn, launches in early 2022 – positioned public areas such as La Terrazza restaurant, the Panorama Lounge, the Arts Cafe, Spa, Fitness Centre, towards the rear on Decks 6, 7, 8 and 9. Aboard Silver Nova, that same deck space will be occupied entirely by suites.

LATTE can reveal those accommodations includes a brand new suite category – the One-Bedroom Otium Suite. At 123 square metres (including a 40 square metre veranda), the Otium Suite will be positioned at the stern of the ship and be around 20% larger than the highest category suite on Silver Dawn.

Otium Suite, Silver Nova

Silversea describes the Otium Suite as “one of our newest and finest suites”.

“The crowning glory of the Otium Suite however must surely be its unprecedented 270˚ view, giving you some of the best views of your destination possible,” the e-brochure states.

Other new Suites include the 80 sqm Master Suite – exclusive to Silver Nova – and newly introduced Medallion Suites and Premium Medallion Suites.

Deck plans indicate there will be two top-of-the-line Otium suites on Decks 6 and 7 that will feature separate living and dining areas, two balconies (double the size of the Owner’s Suite balconies), a private hot tub, indoor whirlpool, spacious bedroom, and more.

Intriguingly, another unspecified void is wedged between the Otium Suite and yet another new suite category that will debut as part of Silversea’s Nova-Class ships, the Signature Suite. Deck plans suggest the mystery compartment (pictured as white space, right) will have very limited balcony space, which may be an indication that it forms a Second-Bedroom and living space for either the Otium Suite, or the Signature Suite.

If that’s the case, a possible Two Bedroom Otium Suite has the potential to be the largest luxury accommodation on the seas, giving Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ 412 square-metre Regent Suite, a run for its money.

Mystery surrounds the unspecified void between the Otium Suites and Signature Suites aboard Silver Nova.

Cross-section renders of Silver Nova have the space whitened out, from Deck 5 through to Deck 10, adding to the mystery. Other possible scenarios include a separate suite category spread over multiple-floors, or loft-style accommodation.

Next-level enhancements

Other Silver Nova amenities will include Otium, Silversea’s wellness program introduced in 2021 on Silver Dawn, and the culinary concept S.A.L.T., which debuted onboard Silver Moon. Silversea executives say Silver Nova will take both concepts to “the next level.”

“We are thrilled to offer our guests a new way to travel with this evolution of luxury and sustainability,” said Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of Silversea Cruises. “Silver Nova represents more than a new luxury ship; its launch advances responsible cruising and new leadership and innovation in the cruise industry.”

“To say Silver Nova is spectacular is an understatement. The ship surpasses traditional standards of luxury cruising and propels our fleet towards the future,” adds Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer. “Her revolutionary design will elevate all levels of onboard indulgence and comfort, with personalised experiences focused on deep destination authenticity.”

The limited-time offer for travel advisors and Venetian Society (Silversea’s Loyalty program) members are available until 6 January 2022.
