Waterproof Cruises & Expeditions has released a new and exclusive expedition cruise to the east coast of Greenland on board the 16-passenger polar yacht MS Polarfront. The eight-night cruise will depart on 1 September 2022, taking guests on an in-depth exploration of Scoresbysund, the largest fjord system in the world.
Scoresbysund is home to some of the most impressive glaciers, and the waters are filled with enormous icebergs. The east coast is also a perfect representation of authentic Greenland with small hunting and fishing villages and colourful wooden houses. Guests will have a chance to go ashore and meet local Inuit to see how they live in this remote part of the world. Daily shore excursions and zodiac cruises will offer a closer look at the impressive nature and wildlife. Waterproof Cruises & Expeditions says that as this voyage occurs at the end of the northern summer, it will yield extraordinary photographic opportunities.

Aboard the vessel are kayaks and a paddle boat at the guests’ disposal, unique ways for travellers to immerse themselves in the quiet icy world of Scoresbysund. For the more adventurous traveller there is an optional Polar Snorkeling activity. A unique opportunity to explore iceberg formations and watch small critters and marine life underwater. Two experienced guides will accompany the trip and share their passion about the polar regions and wildlife.

The voyage is operated aboard the expedition yacht MS Polarfront. With a small group capacity of only 16 guests, the vessel feels like a private expedition and offers a unique chance to feel how remote, quiet and vast Greenland truly is. The ship has spacious cabins, each with their own private bathroom. There is a large deck space with sauna and hot tub to warm up after a long day out in the arctic, and a well-equipped gym.
Waterproof Cruises & Expeditions has only one departure available, between 1-9 September 2022. Prices for the voyage start at EUR 9,150 per person in a Deluxe Suite. (Rates are excluding a mandatory flight package with charter flights between Iceland (Reykjavik) and Greenland (Constable Point) for EUR 1,495 per person.)on
