AmaWaterways has revealed plans to add a second cruise ship in Egypt following a successful first season on the Nile for its new vessel AmaDahlia.
The second ship, named AmaLilia after the sacred blue water lily flower of ancient Egypt, will set sail in 2024 to meet the growing demand for the destination.

Like AmaDahlia, AmaLilia will sail the Secrets of Egypt & Nile itinerary, offering an 11-night cruise and land experience including a seven-night roundtrip river cruise from Luxor, paired with three nights pre- and one-night post-cruise stays in historic Cairo. Similar to her sister ship, AmaLilia will be designed with regionally inspired décor, spacious staterooms and suites, and a specialty restaurant included in the river cruise fare.

“Egypt is one of the most fascinating destinations in the world and we’ve seen such wonderful interest from both our loyal guests as well as new guests since we launched our first ship there in September 2021. We look forward to welcoming even more travellers to join us to experience the ancient wonders of Egypt,” she said.
