Emerald Cruises will add the Caribbean and Central America to its luxury yacht cruising destination portfolio from late next year.
The new destinations, along with first time Transatlantic sailings and new ports across the Mediterranean and the Adriatic Sea will coincide with the introduction of Emerald Cruises’ second ocean yacht, Emerald Sakara, debuting in 2023.
The new collection of 2023 and 2024 itineraries comprises 15 new islands and countries as Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara homeport in the Caribbean during the northern hemisphere winter of 2023 and 2024.
Guests will enjoy picture-perfect beaches throughout the Virgin Islands, West Indies, and Caribbean Sea; immerse themselves in local life in Colombia; venture through Costa Rican rainforests, and experience the Panama Canal.
New ports of call include Cartagena, Colombia with its Old Town walls and colonial-era buildings; the bustling Antiguan capital of St. John’s, fringed by beach idylls; the rugged rocks and thick forests of Terre-de-Haute; and Isla Tortuga, or ‘Turtle Island’, an uninhabited islet with a wealth of marine life.
The 18-Day Discover Southern Caribbean & Central America sets sail from Bridgeton to Mayreau Island, Kralendijk, Oranjestad, Cabo de la Vela, Santa Marta, Cartagena, San Blas Islands, Lemon Cay, Fuerte Amador, San Jose Island, Darién National Park, Isla Cébaco, Golfito, Quepos, Curú, Isla Tortuga and Puntarenas.
