Abercrombie & Kent Australia (A&K) has enlisted Susan Haberle as its new Head of Sales and Partnerships.
Haberle (lead image) has over 27 years of in-depth experience across the travel industry, most recently with her own business consultancy, The Inspire Collective, which she co-founded with A&K Australia’s Managing Director, Debra Fox in late 2020. Prior to that, Haberle spent 13 years at the APT Travel Group (also working alongside Fox for many years), across a variety of roles including General Manager – Sales and Customer Experience.
She will commence in her new role as Head of Sales and Partnerships with A&K in July 2022.
Abercrombie & Kent also announced the promotion of in-house veteran, Ann-Marie Chapman. With 17 years under her belt as Head of Agency Sales, Chapman has been appointed to the position of Head of Trade Engagement. Chapman will collaborate closely with Haberle to steer A&K’s trade distribution and engagement.
Commenting on the appointment of Haberle and promotion of Chapman, Debra Fox, A&K’s Managing Director Australia – TOC said “I am delighted to welcome Susan to the A&K team. Susan brings with her an enviable record in key partnership success and business growth.
“These two roles are key in supporting the future growth of A&K in Australia and we congratulate both Ann-Marie and Susan,” Fox said.
This latest news come as A&K Australia forges ahead with plans to bulk up its local outpost with travel professionals. In early June, Fox revealed exclusively to LATTE that A&K has a “long-term strategy for this market and to achieve our vision we’re looking to grow the team.”
