Seabourn is enticing members of Crystal Cruises’ loyalty program, Crystal Society, to join its own program with a matched club level status.
According to a micro page on Seabourn’s website entitled “Welcome to your new home”, all former Crystal Society members “who are now feeling adrift” can have their membership level matched with the equivalent rank in the Seabourn Club.
The like-for-like offer applies to Crystal Society Levels held as of 11 February 2022 (when Crystal Cruises’ collapsed) per the below graphic, providing a range of special offers, extra amenities and discounts.
Seabourn Club’s Silver member level is based on 20-69 Club Points; Gold Member 70-139 points; Platinum Member 140-249 points and Diamond Member 250+.
The Seabourn Club also offers a top-of-the-line Diamond Elite Membership rank, based on 650+ points, however this appears to not be included in the matched status.
To avail the promotion, Crystal Cruises’ past guests need to book via a travel advisor, a Seabourn personal cruise consultant or online at Seabourn.com. They must then provide proof of their Crystal Society Membership (such as a photo of a membership card, a booking confirmation which identifies their membership level, or a screenshot of their online Crystal Cruises account). Once approved, Seabourn will upgrade the guests’ Seabourn Club Membership level and apply any eligible savings.
It’s unclear from Seabourn’s website when this status match was first made available, but there was an update on 16 June 2022, which was a week before Abercrombie & Kent confirmed it had purchased Crystal Cruises’ two ocean ships Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, and brand with the view to relaunch the entity in 2023.
