Swan Hellenic has released full details of its 2022/2023 cultural expedition cruises as its fleet grows to two and then three purpose-built, ultramodern ice-class expedition cruise ships.
Exploring seven continents, the 2023 season will see Swan Hellenic’s maiden ship, SH Minerva, centred primarily on the Pacific; the newly christened SH Vega on the Atlantic and West Africa; and yet-to-launch SH Diana on the Mediterranean, Red Sea and East Africa.

SH Minerva will be voyaging extensively down under. After a full Antarctica season, the ship will embark on a semi-circumnavigation of the globe from Ushuaia to Dunedin, New Zealand, exploring the vast expanses of the White Continent and islands of the South Pacific. Highlights of her Pacific season include expeditions in Bali and Komodo (in June 2023) and Papua New Guinea (August 2023).

Swan Hellenic will offer four separate voyages through Australia’s Kimberley region – as flagged by LATTE Cruise last week. The 11-day Kimberley Horizons itinerary from Darwin to Broome (and vice versa) will operate on 4, 14 and 24 July and 3 August (priced from $13,269 per person twin share).
The local program also includes a one-off 11-day Arnhem Land & Great Barrier Reef expedition from Darwin to Cairns (view the map below), departing 13 August 2023 and priced from $13,903 per person twin share.
SH Minerva will offer voyages to Indonesia’ s Raja Ampat archipelago and Japan (May 2023).
SH Vega, which recently sailed from Tromsø, Norway, for a season of maiden cruises exploring the magic of the Arctic, will be making her way in a full circle around the Atlantic, coasting the Americas to cruise Antarctica from November until March 2023, when she sails up the West Coast of Africa to the Canary Islands and Western Europe for her Arctic season. Crossing from Ushuaia to Cape Town via Tristan da Cunha, the Africa program will explore the Republic of the Congo, the Bissagos Islands in Guinea-Bissau, and more.

Swan Hellenic’s third and largest next-generation ship, SH Diana, will see the pioneering company return to its roots, sailing the length and breadth of the Mediterranean, the Norwegian coastline including Svalbard, but then also voyaging from the Red Sea to East Africa and beyond. Destinations will include Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Madagascar and South Africa.
To celebrate the program’s launch. Swan Hellenic has released an “Early Swan Savings” of up to 30% off select departures (excluding suites), when booked by 30 September 2022. Terms and Conditions apply. See swanhellenic.com.
