Bookings open for Virgin Voyages’ fourth ship, Brilliant Lady

First voyages slated for 24 December 2023 from Miami

EXCLUSIVE: Virgin Voyages has opened reservations four new one-way cruises that encompass the repositioning of Resilient Lady from Australia to Europe, and what appears to be the first departure aboard Brilliant Lady, the brand’s fourth ship.

Brilliant Lady will be a sister ship to Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady and the yet-to-launch, Resilient Lady.

LATTE can exclusively reveal Brilliant Lady‘s first itineraries are now available to book in the Caribbean, commencing in December 2023. The debut voyage – and the first of the four one-way cruises – will be a 5-night aptly named Brilliant Caribbean Holidays departing Miami on Christmas Eve, bound for San Juan.

Intriguingly, the sailing is not promoted as a ‘Mermaiden’ departure, which is often used by Virgin Voyages for the inaugural cruise of a new ship, or to a new region.

According to Virgin Voyages’ website, 16-week-long itineraries will then operate roundtrip from San Juan, starting 30 December 2023. Options aboard Brilliant Lady will alternate every seven days between the Southeastern Caribbean Isles (port calls in Tortola, Pointe-à-Pitre, Bridgetown, Castries and St John’s) and Sunsets in the Lesser Antilles (port calls in Oranjestad, Willemstad, Fort de France and Basseterre) itineraries.

Her program will mean Virgin Voyages will be operating three of its four adult-only ships in the Caribbean over the peak season, alongside Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady.

On 20 April 2024, Brilliant Lady will reposition from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean, sailing from San Juan to Lisbon, arriving on 1 May 2024.

Meanwhile, the website confirms Resilient Lady will depart the Oceania region after a three-month deployment to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific on 27 March 2024, from Sydney. The 15-night cruise will sail north along the Queensland coast with calls in Airlie Beach and Cairns, then onto Darwin, and Benoa (Bali) before arriving in Singapore on 11 April. The journey is currently priced from $2,405 per person, a saving of nearly $1,300 per person.

Following the Sydney-Singapore voyage is a 14-night Singapore Sights to Dubai Delights itinerary on 11 April, which leads into another 14-night Modern Dubai to Ancient Athens sailing via the Greek Islands, on 25 April.

The trio of two-week-long point-to-point journeys can also be combined to create a six-week pilgrimage from Sydney to Athens, concluding on 9 May 2024. Pricing for the full 43-day voyage is currently on application.
