Hawai’i Tourism Oceania in partnership with Hawaiian Airlines, showcased the diverse Hawaiian Islands to seven selected Mālama Hawai’i travel advisors from across Australia & New Zealand, the first travel trade famil on the Hawaiian Islands in over two years and a truly memorable trip for all the attendees.
The group had a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to explore three Hawaiian Islands: O‘ahu, Maui and Lānaʻi while immersing themselves with the aloha spirit learning more about the Mālama Hawaiʻi initiative through many unique activities and experiences during a week-long famil.
Participants attended The Royal Court Investiture and Opening Ceremony which kicked off the month-long Aloha Festivals celebration in Waikiki, visited a Smithsonian of the Pacific “Bernice Bishop Museum”, enjoyed a day of adventure on UTVs at Kualoa Ranch Private Nature Reserve, and participated in Planter’s Experience at Gunstock Ranch to mālama the
aina (giving back to the land).
On Maui, the group visited Maui Oceania Center where they learned about a remarkable effort in regenerative and responsible tourism, and on the last day, the attendees travelled to Lānaʻi sharing some aloha and much-needed affections at Lānaʻi Cat Sanctuary.
The travel advisors had an opportunity to experience aloha hospitality staying at refurbished properties: Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach & Sheraton Waikiki on O‘ahu and at Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows, and Ka’anapali Beach Hotel on Maui. They were also impressed during site inspections at Waikiki Collection, the Kahala Hotel & Resort, Courtyard Marriott O‘ahu North Shore, the Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki, Grand Hyatt Regency Maui, Sheraton & Westin Maui, Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi. and Sensei Lānaʻi – A Four Seasons Resort.
