Virtuoso has recently refreshed the client benefits and advisor hosting of its Virtuoso Voyages program, of which there are 11 cruise line members.
The flagship program offers a number of key components that differentiate Virtuoso advisors from non-members, providing advisors tools to create experiences that they can’t buy with any other travel advisor or online retailer, says David Kolner, Executive Vice President for the global luxury travel network.
The 11 cruise lines that currently partner with Virtuoso Voyages, including Azamara, Cunard, Explora Journeys, Holland America Line, Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Seabourn, Silversea Cruises, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises and Windstar Cruises.
Virtuoso Voyages enables members to offer their clients one of four exclusive benefits. Either 1) a custom shore excursion that Virtuoso creates with their partners; 2) a personalised experience credit; 3) a shipboard credit; or 4) a Virtuoso private car and driver, whereby the advisor can create a shore excursion with one of Virtuoso’s preferred partners, just for that client.

Speaking at the recent Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas, Kolner said “we continue to see increased take-up from our cruise line partners,” for the offering.
Meanwhile, Virtuoso Voyages has also streamlined its Advisor Hosting as a result of the pandemic, whereby all members can complete a complimentary, interactive Host Orientation Training Course. The self-paced course takes about 20-30 minutes to complete.
Those that complete the course can then attend a Live Host Training Seminar that provides the member with certification for five years. Held either virtually or in person, the certification enables the advisor to host a sailing.
“That means the advisor can promote the sailing to their own clients, and when they join the cruise it is complimentary for them,” Kolner said.
The cost to attend the Host Training Seminar is US$75 and takes approximately 2 hours.
