The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection ready to sail, at last

New photo collection of Evrima's public spaces and suite revealed ahead of inaugural

The long-awaited launch of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection‘s first of three ships, Evrima, is set for departure this weekend from Barcelona.

The 298-passenger ultra-luxury yacht will sail from the Spanish port on Saturday [15 October 2023] on a seven- night voyage that includes port calls in the Balearic Islands, Saint-Tropez and Antibes.

In anticipation of Evrima‘s highly-anticipated debut, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection hosted a celebratory event for its Ladies and Gentleman (crew) on the top deck, accompanied by senior executives, including CEO and Founder, Douglas Prothero.

In the lead-up to the first sailing, the startup cruise line – which is a member of Virtuoso Voyages – released a fresh batch of images from aboard the vessel.

“Illustrating the renowned brand’s commitment to innovative, luxury travel experiences, Evrima signifies the evolution of the hospitality icon, while paving the way for a new era of yacht-style cruising,” the company said.

“Envisioned to perfectly blend the lifestyle of The Ritz-Carlton resorts with the casual freedom of a yachting vacation, Evrima, delivers highly tailored getaways for travellers seeking to wholly immerse themselves in the culture of each destination.

“Unveiling unique itineraries and immersive experiences, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection carves out an exclusive space within the industry, stopping at both intimate and signature ports of call across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Central America and South America.

The statement continued: “The onboard experience reflects the sublime comfort and legendary service for which the Ritz-Carlton brand is renowned, with 149 suites and one of the highest staff and space ratios at sea. Travellers enjoy a relaxed sense of freedom aboard Evrima, with access to a range of elevated programming and amenities including a thoughtfully curated menu of spa treatments, a sauna and steam room, watersports from the yacht’s marina while at anchor, an infinity pool, a fitness studio and more.

“Guests can also select from a breadth of dining options including a specialty dining experience in S.E.A, designed by chef Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, the three-Michelin starred restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg.

“In each destination, guests can choose from a selection of unique experiences within The Shore Collection that align with their interests, or utilise the services of the Concierge Ashore to customize their own private tours.”

Originally announced in 2017, and with a debut slated for mid-2020, production of the vessel was often delayed (8 times), ahead of this weekend’s launch.

The originally planned sister ships in the fleet have since been upgraded to larger vessels superyachts, which are being constructed by the shipyard, Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Sant-Nazaire, France. Ilma and Luminara will accommodate 456-passengers and are slated to set sail in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
