Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has signed on to manage a future luxury hotel in Chengdu, the capital city of Szechuan province, China.
that it will manage a new hotel in Tianfu, a modern Business District south of Chengdu, the capital city of Szechuan province. Tianfu New Area is expected to become the future commercial centre of Southwest China.
Mandarin Oriental Tianfu, Chengdu will be located in the business district of Tianfu, comprise 267 rooms and suites, and is slated to open in 2028. Tianfu New Area is expected to become the future commercial hub of Southwest China.
Onsite will be four restaurants and bars, a Mandarin Oriental signature spa, fitness centre with indoor swimming pool, and more.
The Central Business District of Tianfu is positioned approximately 25km south of the old city of Chengdu and is easily accessible from Chengdu’s two international airports, with excellent links to the metro and high-speed rail. Adjacent to the hotel is a mixed-use development housed in the tallest skyscraper in Western China, featuring a top-floor observation desk with food and beverage outlets.
Mandarin Oriental’s hotel portfolio in China currently spans Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Sanya, while other projects are under development in Hangzhou, Nanjing and Qianmen, Beijing.
