Switzerland’s top ten ski resorts – based on where guests prefer to spend their skiing holidays. Based on the number of overnight stays last year, these are the not-to-be-missed destinations for winter fans.

The highest winter resorts

If your clients want to be sure of having plenty of snow, regardless of what the temperatures are down in the valley, it’s better to go to high-altitude destinations. There they can look forward to superbly prepared pistes and pristine power slopes.

Tiny winter resorts

Is peace and tranquillity more up your client’s street than apres-ski and socialising? Then recommend staying in a less-known resort – be it a small ski area or picturesque winter village. Switzerland has plenty of them to choose from.

Learn to ski

Visitors can try their first turns on skies or on a snowboard easily in Switzerland. Whether with First Ski Experience – an all-in-one half-day package – or in a course that will have them skiing or snowboarding within the space of three days. At a Swiss Ski School they will experience the exhilaration of their first successful downhill run.

Ascend a mountain in quiet solitude, leaving only prints in the deep, pristine snow: the multitude of peaks in the Swiss Alps provide the perfect conditions for ski touring and freeride adventure. Ski and snowshoe tours in pristine landscapes are perfect for leaving the stresses of everyday life behind: the descent in powder snow is a true delight that might just prove addictive. The silence that accompanies the ascent is an unforgettable experience out in nature and even offers a chance of fascinating encounters with wild animals.
