The Leading Hotels of the World officially relaunched its Australian & New Zealand ‘Leading Famils’ program this past week, with their first of two fam trips in 2022, to Northern Italy.
Craig Adamson, Managing Director, APAC for LHW hosted the first trip following a three-year COVID pause. Adamson led six luxury travel advisors from The Leading Hotels of the World loyalty program, VITA. The group met in Milan at Grand Hotel et de Milan and managed to take a sneak peek at the soon-to-be Portrait Milano, before moving to Lake Como to stay at the iconic Villa d’Este and visit Il Sereno Lago di Como.
The nine-night Northern Italy experience came to an end in the Tuscan Hills at Castel Monastero.
The group were treated to wonderful hosted meals across their journey, visited local sites and participated in immersive experiences to ensure everyone walked away with a great understanding
of each destination.
Adamson shared that “with 68 Leading Hotels in Italy, it is an important destination for us. Australian’s love affair with Italy is definitely back and we have seen a remarkable return of leisure travellers to Italy.
“Over 50% of our Australian & New Zealand business into Europe this year has been into Italy and investing in Travel Advisors knowledge is critically important to us at LHW”.
The next Leading Famil heads to Switzerland later this month.
