If your clients are hankering to experience the Arctic Summer, visit the home of Santa Claus and take in some of Scandinavia’s most spectacular coastline, then the latest offering from Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express is sure to satisfy their itch.

About to celebrate 130 years’ experience sailing the Arctic Circle, the company has released a new 15-day Follow the Midnight Sun, Southbound journey for 2023.

Departing from Stockholm, this escorted small-group tour is a chance for travellers to bask in long, balmy summer days on an unforgettable itinerary as they explore the Finnish capital, Helsinki; Rovaniemi, the home of Santa Claus; and Saariselka, the cultural centre of the indigenous Sámi in Finnish Lapland; before crossing to Kirkenes in northern Norway where they will embark on a southbound voyage along Norway’s dramatic coast.

On the second leg of the journey, clients take in stunning fjords and glaciers; visit picturesque destinations including Hammerfest and Tromsø; and experience the breathtaking beauty of the Lofoten islands and the Helgeland coast; before disembarking in Bergen, Norway’s second largest city.

Other highlights include an overnight ferry trip from Stockholm to Helsinki, a visit to Kirkenes’ unique Snowhotel 365, which is open year-round and a Hiking with the Huskies safari.

Says Hurtigruten Asia Pacific Managing Director, Damian Perry, “The past few years have seen a huge surge of interest in Scandinavia, and it’s hardly surprising considering the region offers up some of the most spectacular scenery and attractions in Europe, while still flying relatively below the mainstream tourist the radar.” And if any extra incentive is needed, Perry adds that, “guests can be confident that every aspect of the itinerary will be seamlessly managed by the company’s experienced team of guides and expedition staff, their credentials matched only by their commitment to the guest experience.”

Hurtigruten’s 15-day Follow the Midnight Sun, Southbound journey is priced from $7,982* per person twin share.
