Mediterranean yacht charter specialist Latitude Vacations is boosting awareness, and now with the Australian travel trade, as demand for the unique leisure holiday style continues to escalate.

Based out of Double Bay in Sydney, Latitude Vacations is the brainchild of Kent Marketing’s Geoffrey Hutton. While Kent Marketing itself is a well-known destination marketing business, Latitude Vacations has been in operation for some 20 years, offering a variety of bareboat and skippered charters in Greece, Croatia, Italy and Turkey, primarily sold directly to consumers.

Speaking exclusively with LATTE, Hutton said “This year, after international travel has been possible, we have been ramping up our charter business and we are also promoting to travel agents.”

Hutton said now is a great time to take advantage of early booking discounts on yacht charters, with prices on sale for new bookings made up until 31 December 2022. Some of Latitude Vacations’ charter operators are also offered discounted rates until 31 January 2023.

“For Croatia specifically, we have some special offers from one of our established operators which has set up a new base in Skradin in the Sibenik Region, about 50km from Split or Zagreb airports.”

“Picturesque Skradin is located near the Krka River and Krka National Park and is well located to start a sailing holiday. It provides the opportunity to sail north exploring the slightly less frenetic islands than the middle.

“Dalmatian charters feature the party island of Hvar and historical Korcula, or go south visiting the islands on the way to Dubrovnik.”

Hutton said Latitude Vacations can create custom itineraries to suit clients’ specific requests, with his staff having sailed extensively in Croatia from Rovinj and Pula in the north, down to Dubrovnik in the south.
