Australian expedition cruise operator Aurora Expeditions has altered its name to AE Expeditions in the United Kingdom.
The renaming carries across to a new logo, trademark and website, purely for the British market. The name remains Aurora Expeditions in all other markets.
The change represents “a successful resolution to a trademark issue in the UK market only,” Aurora Expeditions said in a statement, adding that AE Expeditions will remain part of, and operated by, the Aurora Expeditions group, based in Sydney.
Hayley Peacock Gower, Chief Marketing Officer for Aurora Expeditions said: “As we enter our 2022/23 Antarctic season, we’re very excited to launch AE Expeditions in our rapidly growing UK market and deliver the same life-changing, perspective-altering expeditions around the world, while creating lifelong ambassadors for the planet.”
Aurora Expeditions’ second ship, Sylvia Earle, is currently in Antarctica on its maiden voyage.
