Azamara is back Down Under again

Highly-anticipated return of Azamara Quest to Fremantle

Azamara is celebrating its long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand with the arrival of Azamara Quest, Captain Johannes Tysse and crew into Fremantle earlier this week. The crew received a warm welcome from Victoria Chigwidden, Azamara’s Director of Sales (Australia/NZ), and the boutique line’s growing shoreside team in Australia.

The local cruise season has seen very strong demand, with the smaller Azamara ships continuing to be a popular choice for discerning cruisers,” says Chigwidden.

Quest departed Fremantle on 21 December, beginning its 14-night country intensive voyage in Sydney, just in time to partake in the emerald city’s renowned New Year’s Eve celebrations and watch the fireworks light up the sky over Sydney Harbour.”

While in Australia and New Zealand, Azamara Quest will embark on three back-to-back country intensive voyages, plying the waters from Melbourne to Sydney before sailing along the Sapphire Coast to see humpback whales and enjoy the golden beaches, crystal blue waters and lush green forests. The voyage will continue on to New Zealand’s Milford Sound, followed by a few days of exploration in Dunedin, then Wellington.

On 19 February 2023, Azamara Quest will bid farewell to Australia until next season, sailing from Freemantle to Asia and then back to Europe to continue its 2023 schedule.
