Crystal opens deposits for rebooted operation

Rebooted luxury cruise line accepting deposits to secure future guests' first choice

Crystal Cruises is offering guests a shipboard credit of up to US$250 per person (AU$350 per person) under a new ‘Open Deposits’ program.

In an email to past guests, Jack Anderson, President of Crystal Cruises, said the Open Deposits program will offer “first priority bookings” on the reborn brand’s new itineraries, stateroom and suite selections, as well as experiences” on Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity‘s inaugural season, starting in “early 2023”.

Guests taking advantage of the offer must confirm their reservation within 90 days of the first itinerary opening, which is expected between now and the end of the year.

Anderson confirmed, and as widely expected, Crystal’s itineraries would include destinations in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, New England, Alaska, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

“In addition, we will be announcing our curated Grand Journeys, which have been designed to inspire the most seasoned world travellers, along with Crystal’s World Cruise, departing in 2024,” Anderson revealed.

The Open Deposits program will provide a maximum US$500 per suite (AU$700 per suite) ‘As You Wish’ shipboard credit for members of the former Crystal Cruises’ loyalty program, Crystal Society, or up to US$250 per suite for new to Crystal guests. The credit can be used for shore excursions, onboard boutiques and at specialty dining venues.

Guests holding an Open Deposit will also obtain an exclusive ‘First Look’ period at the 2023 and 2024 Inaugural Seasons of Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.

The new Crystal Cruises, under the ownership of A&K Travel Group, highlights that it is offering fully refundable deposits.

Meanwhile, the company has chosen an address in Aventura, Florida as the site for its headquarters in the United States. The Florida office is recruiting for multiple roles including an Abercrombie & Kent Product Manager – Luxury Expedition Cruising, Manager of Reservations & Sales Support, Trade Sales Support Specialist, Manager of Itinerary Planning, and more.
